WE THE UNDERSIGNED

DO THEREFORE DECLARE to one another, to the greater community of life, and to future generations our responsibility for preserving and protecting the health, vitality, beauty, and diversity of this planet Earth.

TO THIS END, we join with the Green Sanctuary Project of the Unitarian Universalists of the Chester River in pledging our encouragement to one another in a personal and congregational commitment to living our seventh principle (Respect for the interdependent web of all existence of which we are a part) by the following actions:

  1. Incorporating seventh principle values and practices into our worship services, celebrations and religious education programs.
  2. Living lightly on the Earth and reducing our detrimental environmental impact.
  3. Supporting efforts to improve the quality of the Chester River watershed.
  4. Affirming and promoting programs to raise the awareness of human behaviors that effect the health and sustainability of the living earth.
